Our client is looking for an AS400 n Duties:* Operates computer and monitors system's performance via console and on-line terminals* Monitors help desk and performs daily back-ups* Monitors daily, weekly, and monthly jobs and takes corrective action when needed* Monitors help desk* Performs daily and monthly backup* Runs error check and monitors successful completion of daily, weekly and monthly jobs. Works with third party vendors on hardware and software issues as needed* Keeps track of daily tape rotation and microfiche logs* Provides assistance to end usersThe following statements describe the general nature of work being performed in this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by ferred Qualifications:* High school graduate plus at least three years additional specialized training/education and one to three years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience* Three or more years in a software/technical customer support role* PC Technical knowledge, typing, and good communication skills* Knowledge of SQL and use of SQL/QM within AS400 Environment* Use of older programming languages such as COBOL* Experience within a WMS (Warehouse Management System) environment* Four year degree (preferable in computer related discipline) or equivalent work experience/Cert's* Proficiency in Excel, Access. Word, Outlook, Mainframe, and AS400
