Associate Chief Nursing Officer
Description: Plans, coordinates and directs the functions and activities of the Department of Engineering to ensure continuous efficient and economical operation of the hospital's equipment, machines, plant, and building, achieving set objects within budgetary limits and in accordance with all regulatory licensing, codes and standards. Oversees the Environment of Care to identify, assess and control environmental/safety hazards at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center and facilities for inpatients, visitors, and personnel through the implementation of a networkwide safety management program and through the research, development and update of safety policies and procedures, consultation with administration, department supervisors and staff, inservice education, investigation of accidents and incidents, and regulatory compliance under the direction of the network's Safety Committee. To ensure the network's compliance with Environment of Care as defined by JCAHO, CARF, OSHA, EPA, FDA, FDOH and other regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or or equivalent trade school, Bachelors preferred
Ten years experience with mechanical systems.
Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) or certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.
Must have valid Drivers license and be able to meet Hospital Drivers Safety Policy drivers requirement.
