Job Description:

The EP Tech designs, develops and implements the technical specialty of Electrophysiology, including RF Ablation for all Cardiologists and patients admitted for this specialized procedure.  The EPS program shall be the main emphasis of the position, but with the understanding that partial time shall be dedicated to the Cardiac Cath Lab.  Must be familiar with all NASPE and JCAHO regulations as well as state and Federal requirements.  Should be familiar with all necessary equipment operation for EPS and ablation, including all monitoring equipment and the Radio frequency Ablation generator or equivalent.  This position reports to the Administrator of Cardiovascular Services.

Requirements:

         High School Diploma or equivalent

         AA degree or proof of equivalent college hours, in health science, natural science, nursing, biomedical engineering, or any other programs with primary science content, or BS degree or AA degree from two year accredited cardiovascular program

         Certified by NSCPT, or CCI (C-CVT), (RCVT)

         Able to assist in diagnosis and interventional cardiac procedures

         Possess current BLS license

         ACLS License preferred (obtains within six (6) months of employment and maintains current)

         Must have 3-5 years experience in Electrophysiology and related fields of invasive cardiology, and cardiac implants
