Component Product Engineering is looking for an undergraduate or graduate student in Engineering to work as a summer Intern. The successful candidate will support senior engineers in the performance of technical and project-related tasks. Work assignments will support engine control system hardware development which range from component requirements definition and hardware design, to development and integration. Engine control components include electronic controls, valves, actuators, fuel pumps, sensors, ignition systems, electrical harnesses and electronic special test equipment.
Main responsibilities include:
- Support the performance of trade studies to define component requirements and optimize control system components configurations.
- Support the generation, documentation, maintenance and evaluation of requirements and specifications for control components.
- Support the generation and updating of requirements documents and control system schematics consistent with engine configuration evolution.
- Support test activities which include tracking hardware, providing onsite test coordination, analyzing test data and summarizing test results.
Summer Internship will be from May/June - Aug. 2012 and is located in West Palm Beach, Florida.
