Media Relations Intern (Sports Media/PR/Broadcasting)
The Media Relations Intern supports the day-to-day operations of the media relations department and communications department as directed by the director and manager of each department. Responsibilities include maintaining newspaper clip files and electronic clip files for all front office executives, players and coaching staff. Copying and distributing daily clips to front office staff. Assisting in production of team publications, including regular season and post season media guides. Preparing statistical reports as needed for executive and coaching staff. Assist Director of Communications in Marlins events, press releases, etc. Possess excellent computer skills that include but are not limited to Word, Excel, Desktop Publishing (Quark/PageMaker). Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are a must. Journalism degree with emphasis in Sports preferred. Bilingual a plus.
