Safety of the work force. Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory rules and requirements, ensure that each employee receives the training and instruction necessary to perform their job safely and department equipment is properly maintained. Recommend improved EH&S practices.

Maintain employee engagement through excellent communication both written and verbal.

Supervise the coordination and direction of daily functions for all off shift areas including Powder atomization, Screening, Machining, and Quality.

Investigate unusual difficulties encountered in producing the product, sequence of operations, or in maintaining equipment and determine changes required to eliminate or minimize them. Acute ability to make critical decisions with regard to atomization, screening and machining of unique materials.

Work closely with designers and others to develop new equipment, purchases and methods to improve efficiency of operations and quality of the product.

Helps develop, update and maintain procedures and documentation for all production, quality systems.

Continual employee development, training, and cross training, of new and existing employees.

Has a solid understanding of the fundamentals of the discipline and role as supervisor(`4continuing to develop specialized knowledge.

May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one' skills

Adhere to and full support of ACE guidelines and perform ACE duties as required.

Level of Responsibility:
* Supervisor of hourly or nonexempt employees within one or more work groups
* Activities supervised may be of a technical nature
* Supervisor may be directly involved in the performance of those tasks which
are of a more complex nature
* Has a solid understanding of the fundamentals of the discipline and role
continuing to develop specialized knowledge


Must be able to walk and climb stairs throughout shift
