Join our team as a Part-time Pier Agent for the Port of Miami & Everglades!


This position is responsible for meet, greet and assist guests sailing on Royal Caribbean International and/or Celebrity Cruises in all aspects of shore-side operations. This includes (but is not limited to) airport meet and greet, hotel check-in, pier check-in, bus meet & greet, monitoring established metrics and standards in all operational airports and/or pier terminals. A large element of this position is to always portray a positive, efficient and professional corporate image. Additionally, the incumbent must be available to work on assigned operational hours/days or as operationally required at the discretion of the Supervisor. Agents will be utilized in all operational areas as operationally required at the discretion of the Supervisor-may be cross-utilized to perform pier or airport agent responsibilities subject to operational demands.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. Maintain proper uniform and grooming standards as outlined by ground operator manual. Review disembarkation/embarkation work assignment/flight assignments for the day and special operational requirements. Direct and assist guests in locating their luggage. Assist guests in obtaining a porter and direct them to the appropriate area according to their airline. Inspect and ensure that buses meet established Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd. standards. Agent should be positioned at the door of the coach for loading procedures. Assist guests with missing, damaged and/or left over baggage (PersonalProperty Reports). Assist and direct guests to proper bus or airline check-incounter according to guests destination. Collect transfer vouchers or verify that guests are entitled to transfers, maintain accurate guest counts by bus and ensure guests are boarding the correct bus. Communicate to airport/pierstaff and/or base of first and last bus departure. Communicate to airport/pier staff guests who require special assistance. Set up terminal/hotel check-in area for embarking and/or disembarking guests and ensure all signage, stanchions and check-in materials are in place. Agent should address guests with Welcome/Farewell script before dispatching any buses in any of the operational areas. Ensure embarking guests are directed to the appropriate terminal and that all documentation has been completed by meeting the buses and working the check-in queues. All guests should have all forms completed prior to stepping into check-in queues. Assist guests in completing appropriate documentfor check-in. Check guests in for the cruise and SuperCharge/Signature account as per check-in guidelines. Verify all documentation requirements. Put away all signage, check-in materials and stanchions accordingly. Assist with physically-challenged guests as needed, as well as assist all guests in findingsolutions to their problems or concerns. Understand information imparted during operational briefings. Meet arriving guests at either flights arrival gate or arrival concourse as indicated by Supervisor/operational demands. Agent must be present 30 minutes prior to flights arrival time to meet and assistguests with documents, baggage, etc. Meet any guests that have missed the ship and assist with hotel and flight arrangements according to the direction ofthe Supervisor. May be cross-utilized to perform airport, pier or hotel agentfunctions at the discretion of the Supervisor or as operationally required. Assist disembarking guests with any flight irregularities they may encounter at operational airports. Pull baggage for day prior/day of embarking guests that are identifiable by ships tags. Trace and expedite missing luggage to theto the ships next port of call. Advise Coordinator, Pre and Post Guest Services I of arrangements (ie. Rush tags, airline and flight number,arrival date, arrival time, etc). Assist guests in claiming luggage in baggage claim area(if bags were not tagged properly with ships tags). Sweep each carrier/carousel for ship luggage against passenger manifest/identifiable ships tags. Performs administrative and clerical support and/or analysis for an assigned area. Formats reports and retains records relating to particular assignments orprojects. Consults with supervisor or other staff members in order to coordinate interdepartmental efforts as necessary. Follows department procedures toensure effective coordination between customers and/or vendors and the Department. Participates with the division management which may include the Supervisor, Manager or Director in fulfilling initiatives, goals and objectives which support the business through company policies and procedures. Utilizes computer resources to generate a variety of work assignments. Attends training as needed. Performs related duties as required with or without accommodation.

Education: High School diploma or GED is preferred. Some college is favorable. Spanish (or another of our core languages) is a plus.
Experience: Working knowledge of personal computers within a Windows environment with e-mail, Microsoft Word and Excel, and related printers and equipment is required.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of employeesand management.
Other: Special Assist Agents: Will be required to follow ADA guidelines in assisting guests on board the ship. Agents may be required to push wheelchairs on board on behalf of the guests.
Baggage Agents will be required to handle, carry, pull luggage from carousels onto luggage trucks and/or luggage tram. Will be required to handle minimum of 25 pounds.
