Minimum Requirements: Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Professional Engineer registration in the State of Florida, minimum 5 years of experience as a Roadway Design Engineer. Experience in FDOT Roadway Design Guidelines is required. Candidate must be familiar with all FDOT roadway design criteria and standards, as well as Miami-Dade County Public Work standards.
Applicant must be familiar with FDOT Plans Production criteria and CADD standards using the Microstation software package together with GEOPAK. Job Description: Successful candidate must have experience in design analysis, design and plans production of roadway projects. Candidate must be able to complete roadway construction plans, specifications and signed and sealed construction documents. Responsibilities will also include analysis of existing and proposed roadway designs, development of design alternatives, constructability reviews, review and QA/QC of constructions documents.
This position will be part of the Highway Department of the Miami Office and report directly to the Highway Department Manager. Position will interact primarily with the FDOT District 6, as well as Miami-Dade County and other local government and permitting agencies.
