Quality Assurance Supervisor
Territory (if applicable): Supply Chain Business Unit: Supply Chain includes facilities and processes that operate to manufacture a finished product from raw material and deliver to the end-user. This business unit enhances competitive advantage, efficiency, innovation, quality and consistency. Position Purpose: This position is charged with developing and sustaining a quality program to assure all products manufactured by our Springfield, Mo. animal feed manufacturing plant comply with FDA/FQMS (Feed Quality Management Systems)/Feed Safety programs and meet customer expectations to achieve consistent quality levels.
As our Quality Supervisor, you are responsible for the QA of our feed and will report directly into the Plant Manager. Required (Basic) Experience & Education: A four year college degree in Agriculture, Feed Science or related fields. 2 plus years of manufacturing quality supervisory or training experience in a food/feed processing environment. Required Competencies & Other Skills: Must possess strong customer service, quality orientation and the ability to work as part of a Team. Proven Leadership skills, strong written and verbal communication skill, problem solving skills and the ability to plan and organize. Computor proficiency. Unquestionable integrity, customer focus and detail orientation. Preferred Experience & Education: Demonstrated proficiency in leading change with a Hourly Union group environment. Previous feed manufacturing, quality and/or regulatory experience preferred. Preferred Competencies & Other Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks or assignments. Strong, motivational, leadership and training skills. Handle customer complaints correctly and with urgency to communicate with all parties involved. Ability to execute Operator FQMS Standards training and development.
