The RN Quality Manager is responsible for the following:
Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in the performance of assessment, reassessment, development and implementation of the Quality/Performance Improvement Program in accordance with all required regulatory agencies.
Assesses process and systems identified for improvement work.
Utilizes and integrates all available data in determining organizational and customer needs and interprets data to assist the organization in its improvement efforts
Continuously prioritizes organizational Quality/Performance Improvement management needs based on assessment and reassessment of findings and data or populations served.
Verbalizes current knowledge base of applicable regulatory standards and assures through monitoring of processes that standards are maintained.
Evaluates the Quality/PI Management Program annually through a formal report and implements necessary changes to affect improvement based on findings.
Assesses employee, physician and organizational needs regarding Quality/Performance Improvement issues and concerns.
Evaluates and distributes relevant data concerning outcome and processes, aggregate data summaries, quarterly trend analysis.
Follows established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or an unanticipated outcome in the patient's care, which results in patient harm. Uses Performance Improvement Plan to improve patient safety.
Qualifications:
Florida RN licensure
Three-five years of experience in a healthcare environment.
Previous experience in accreditation, quality, utilization management, or risk management required.
Knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
