Senior Analyst - Corporate Strategy and M&A
Job Description: The Financial Analyst, Corporate Strategy / M&A will be primarily responsible for complex modeling and analysis pursuant to strategic projects, investments, acquisitions and capital structure alternatives for HSNi.
This is a high-profile position on a relatively new team led by a veteran Wall Street investment banker, and the level and intensity of the workload will be very similar to that of an investment banking / private equity analyst position.
The Financial Analyst will be an important member of the Corporate Strategy / M&A team and work closely with senior and executive management on virtually all projects. Position will require travel from time to time.
Owing to our entrepreneurial atmosphere, the Financial Analyst will be encouraged to assume increasing levels of responsibility commensurate with his or her progress.
Responsibilities:
Understand and analyze businesses of all kinds (e.g., early-mid stage & mature)
Analyze historical and projected financial performance of HSNi and targeted investment / acquisition targets
Prepare comprehensive valuation analyses on targets and HSNi
Assess optimal financing structures and financial impact on HSNi
Translate analysis into clear, concise verbiage and presentations
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Economics, Business or Accounting
Superior GPA; demonstrated interest in corporate finance, strategy, and/or consulting
Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking ability and acute attention to detail
Excellent facility w/ MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to analyze, manage and categorize large amounts of data
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Highly effective oral and written communication
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a closely-knit team environment
