NextEra Energy, Inc's Power Generation Division (PGD) operates & maintains a 30,000 MW Fleet of non-nuclear generation. The fleet, which continues to grow, includes Thermal, Hydro, Wind and Solar Generation Facilities. Power Generation Production Assurance is a team which owns, develops and standardizes processes and best practices across NextEra Energy, Inc. PGD fleet. A position in Production Assurance offers an opportunity to contribute at the corporate level to the operational excellence of our growing fleet of multiple technologies by using advanced applications and processes to drive continuous improvement.
This is a fast paced position in our Production Assurance department. The selected candidate will be a pivotal part of the team that is responsible for the reliability of FPL's fossil and solar power plants. This individual will coordinate with generating plants, engineering teams and the central maintenance organization and drive improvements of reliability processes and replication of countermeasures via the management of critical equipment, performing effective root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and understanding and applying predictive tools to analyze equipment failure rates to help establish optimum maintenance frequencies. Furthermore, this individual will champion reporting of equipment and process health. The candidate must be proactive in problem solving analysis and long range planning. Ability to travel to support plants as required. Bachelor's Degree in related field or 5-7 years relevant duties / experience.
Previous fossil power plant experience is highly desirable.
