Spectrum Manager - DIRECT LABOR
Support the delivery of electronic warfare operations and training to include planning, integrating theater-level frequency management policy and procedures; maintaining liaison with other services, national, allied, and coalition partners on all frequency management policies and programs; providing management of electromagnetic battlespace in a Joint, interagency, and international environment; assisting in the preparation of communications annexes; resolving, reporting, and coordinating with other agencies in the resolution of electromagnetic radio interference.
- Provide database, radio, and frequency management operations, maintenance, and
engineering support. Coordinates distributed, remote spectrum management activities with all supported organizations.
- Troubleshoots problems and provides customer support for operating systems and application issues.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Participates in special projects as required.
Qualifications: Required: Bachelors Degree in computer science or equivalent experience with additional specialized training in Windows based systems administration.
Strong knowledge of Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO), Counter Improvised Explosive Device Defeat (CIEDD)/Improvised Explosive Device Defeat (IEDD) products, EW, Computer Networking and Cyberspace Operations.
Minimum of 8 years of Experience involving spectrum management (i.e., Communication Security (COMSEC) and Defense Message System (DMS)) regulations, policies, and procedures
- Proficiency in Joint electronic warfare (EW) systems, doctrine, and procedures
- Recent Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation New Dawn experience preferred
- Technical or analytical work pertaining to multiple areas of telecommunications systems facilities, services, and procedures:
-- Experience installing, configuring and programming multiplexers using military and commercial protocols
-- Interpreting satellite access authorizations
-- Tracking accounts and coordinating equipment status and location
- Have excellent written and oral skills with the ability to communicate difficult concepts to various audiences.
- Highly proficient in MS Office Professional (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
- DoDD 8570.01 IAT level 1 certification required.
- CompTIA A and CompTIA Network (or equivalent) certification required.
- ITIL V3 Foundations Certification desired.
This position may require shift and weekend work
- This position may require deployments to CONUS and OCONUS locations worldwide, and may include hazardous duty areas
- While deployments can be of a duration of up to 180 days, this position typically deploys on an as-required basis
- Candidate may be required to carry a pager to respond to on-call support outside normally scheduled hours
- The work is typically performed in an office environment and at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
