JOB SPECS:
Day to day track the status of the initiatives and determining the major risks and issues and also assisting with escalations Determining the expected and realized savings Project managers will work a variety of projects around the current initiatives of the organization. For example, Telco/IT related projects, technical deployment support, customer facing solutions support, senior manager with varied experience.
Project Management Services - development and support of Project Management services based on skills that can be found by working in ITIL, eTom, PMI, PRINCE, telecom, financial services organizations, PMO offices and Sales Organizations.
Will oversee multiple projects or one larger project. In addition to duties of Project Manager I, responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project. May communicate with a Functional Area Manager, or Program Manager regarding status of specific projects. Manages a portfolio or group of related projects from initiation to full implementation. Project Management skills as well as technical knowledge within the project functions are required and utilized in the performance of duties. The work involves mostly functional management of moderate scope projects that are usually less than 2 - 9 months from initiation to completion.
Develops project scope, plan, schedule. Establishes project team and manages across organizational and vendor boundaries to achieve success. Involved in developing, modifying and executing company project(s) that affect immediate operations and may have network wide or companywide affect.
Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires in depth knowledge of the network or operating environment and supporting dependencies.
- Establishes and deploys a common set of project management processes and templates.
- Facilitates improved project team communications by having common processes, deliverables, and terminology.
- Provides training, internal or outsourced, to build core project management competencies and a common set of experiences.
- Delivers project management coaching services to keep projects from getting into trouble.
- Tracks basic information on the current status of all projects in the organization and provides project visibility to management in a common and consistent manner.
- Tracks organization-wide metrics on the state of project management, project delivery, and the value being provided to the business.
