UNIT SECRETARY CV STEP DOWN FT NIGHTS
Title: UNIT SECRETARY CV STEP DOWN FT NIGHTS Location: FL-Hialeah Responsible for performing general secretarial and clerical duties in the patient care areas. Interacts with patients, families and physicians on a daily basis. Responsible for the transcription of physician orders. Assists the nursing staff in coordinating the activity of the unit. Oversees the orderliness of the nurses' desk areas and orders forms and other clerical supplies. May be needed to work beyond the regular tour of duty, or in another patient care unit as assigned by department director or assistant director. * Completion of an approved program for unit secretaries, or equivalent experience. * Strong computer and typing skills. * Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred. * Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, stressful environment. * High School diploma or equivalent * Holds a current BLS certification.
