UNIX/LINUX Server Administrator
This position serves as the primary administrator for a high availability Unix/Linux server virtualized environment. You will apply your years of proven experience in managing Unix/Linux systems, software, databases, and large network attached storage systems in working with software development and other IT personnel to ensure maximum performance and uptime of infrastructure. Requires advanced Linux systems administration, server hardware troubleshooting and repair, networking, storage, performance monitoring and tuning, and scripting languages. Cloud/virtualized computing, database administration, PHP or Python knowledge preferred.
Requirements:
Virtualization Experience required, preferably with Proxmox but not required.
Database maintenance and performance tuning specially with MySQL.
Database replication experience is a plus.
Ability to research, plan and propose new solutions - Ability to implement such solutions.
Excellent communication, organization and planning skills.
Ability to create IT project plans, diagrams and other documentation.
RedHat, Cisco, or any other recognized certification is a big plus.
Experience with distributed file systems is a big plus.
Experience with high traffic, intensive applications is a big, big plus.
